Zfx™ IntraScan

The optical impression as a precise basis for accurately-fitting restorations Today, at charme Polyclinic’s Dental Lab there is no need to spend long hours trying to take the fitting dental impression for your teeth. In fact, a dental impression is a negative imprint of hard (teeth) and soft tissues in the mouth from which a positive reproduction or cast can be formed. They are made by using a container which is designed to roughly fit over the dental arches. However, at Charme Polyclinc, you can achieve the highest quality with the ZfX Intra-Scan and Intra-oral scanner due to innovation in technology. << The intra-oral scanner is used to digitally measure the condition of the bite and a 3-D model is generated from the results. Both the hard and the soft tissues are modeled. Digital impressions taken with the ZfX Intra-Scan are used as basis for the computer- controlled design and manufacture of implant and tooth-supported restorations. It is not necessary to apply scanning powder. >> cadcam Zfx™ IntraScan is a lightweight hand piece which is connected to a notebook by means of a cable and weighs only 600 grams. The entire scanning technology is incorporated into the handpiece, removing the need for a complex workstation.

Zfx™ IntraScan

For smoothing the way in practical Applications and in the laboratory 3-D models calculated using the Zfx™ IntraScan can be transmitted to the dental laboratory immediately thanks to the low data volume. Zfx™ IntraScan Matchholder These Matchholders (scan bodies) have to be used with the Zfx™ IntraScan in the oral cavity of patients. The Zfx™ IntraScan Matchholders are available in 2 different heights, H4 (height: 4 mm) or H7 (height: 7 mm). These two heights have to be used at the patient accordingly to the diff erent implant’s depth and gingiva’s height. The Matchholder H7 has an additional step in order to avoid any confusion between the two heights when designing in the CAD software. cadcam2 All Zfx™ IntraScan Matchholder have an integrated screw, that has to be used with the Hex driver, Long Standard for Zfx™ IntraScan (Art.-No.: HXL1.25) or with the Hex driver, Long with Gemlock Retention for Zfx™ IntraScan (Art.-No.: HXLGR1.25). The integrated screws cannot be utilized with the original key of the implant system.

The Munich Implant Concept (MIC)

The Munich implant concept describes the delivery of a CAD/CAM-manufactured screw-retained crown in two Appointments. The basis of the procedure’s development is to minimize loss of hard and soft tissue that can be caused by repeated manipulation of the soft tissues. Zfx™ Evolution

The Zfx™ Evolution is a fully automatic stripe light scanner with open interface which has been specially developed by Zfx Innovation in Bolzano, Italy. In this development center, new ideas are born and implemented every day, and prototypes are created, tested for their suitability for practical application and brought to market maturity. The result: new and optimized system components which seamlessly fi t into the existing process chain and provide the best possible support for users at every step in the manufacture of accurate dental prostheses. Even full-arch models for the construction of complex and large bridge frameworks – up to 14 units – can be digitized with the scanner. cadcam4 The Zfx™ Evolution is compatible with the Artex® articulator system from Amann Girrbach, the SAM® from SAM Präzisionstechnik, the Protar® from KaVo, Stratos® from Ivoclar Vivadent and Panadent® from the company Panadent. The Zfx™ Synchronizer enables the exact transfer of articulated models into the scanner.

Zfx™ Evolution Matchholder

These Matchholders (scan bodies) have to be used with the laboratory scanner Zfx™ Evolution. A code system is available on the Matchholders surface; this code is captured during the scan process and automatically detects and recognizes the used implant system and its platform size. Due to its high accuracy, the Matchholder is suitable for scanning implant bridges. All Zfx™ Evolution Matchholders have an integrated screw that have to be utilized with the Torque Wrench for Matchholders.
