Chest Implant (Men)

Today our specialty is no longer exclusive for women, since modern man is also after the search of the balance of his body, where thanks to the evolution of mankind has managed to end a series of taboos about masculinity in relation to such procedures.
This reason has significantly increased the frequency of this procedure, and that aims to give volume to the male breast and achieve without doubt a proportional contour, therefore natural, but above all very masculine, a condition that many times is not achieved even after prolonged periods of training and exercise.

Are You a Good Candidate?

It is considered a good candidate should be a healthy man, of good weight and that once reached the sexual maturity, presents pectoral muscles hypoplastic (little developed) or asymmetric, and therefore must consider to undergo to this procedure, independently for aesthetic or reconstructive reasons.

Anesthesia and Surgical Times

It is usually performed with local anesthesia plus sedation for the patient’s tranquility and relaxation, being managed as average time 2 hours approximately.

Incisions and Scars

The surgery is performed through a small incision at the level of the armpit, through which a pocket is made just behind the pectoral muscle and where the silicone implant is placed, and finally we leave a drainage through the wound, which leaves an imperceptible scar, then virtually invisible and passes perfectly unnoticed as it is located in the natural fold of the armpit.

Hospitalization Time

The patient usually stays 24 hours in the hospital, leaving until the next day, which allows us to keep an eye on him and be alert to any eventuality, as well as being able to better manage postoperative pain through the continuous administration of special drugs that will allow our patient during the first hours a greater comfort.

Postoperative Care

The person should rest relative, take the prescribed drugs as directed, eat normally according to tolerance and drink plenty of fluids.
You must make daily cleaning on the operative wounds, maintaining the proper care of the bandage and drainage.

Recovery and Time

This period implies that the patient must maintain a bandage that will keep his chest covered, which is removed between the 4th and 5th day after the surgery along with the drainage, from which point he must use a special medical vest 24 hours a day for 8 weeks, and because of the potential for inflammation of this procedure our patient is subjected to ultrasound and post-operative lymphatic drainage therapies.
Usually we use absorbable sutures for these procedures, thus avoiding the patient’s discomfort from withdrawal, and can say that the average recovery time is approximately 10 days, returning the patient to their daily activities one or two weeks after the procedure as long as it is not exposed to physical exertion or large movements with the arms.

Risks

Risks and complications are very rare, but there is always a possibility that these can happen even though they are remote, and in this procedure when placing a pectoral prosthesis, as a foreign body may present rejection of the prosthetic material, bruising, infection, fluid accumulation (seroma), and fibrosis.

Botox injections are performed in a medical office or a cosmetic clinic. The skin is cleansed, and a local anesthetic or ice may be applied to minimize any discomfort. Using a very fine needle, Botox is injected into specific muscles in precise locations. The procedure typically takes only a few minutes, and there is minimal downtime or recovery involved.

The effects of Botox injections are not immediate but gradually appear over a few days to a week. The muscles become less active, and the wrinkles in the treated areas gradually smooth out. The results typically last around 3 to 4 months, but this can vary depending on individual factors, the dose administered, and the specific treatment area.
