Cheek Fat Removal

Technically known as bichectomy, and whose objective is the thinning of the face by reducing the volume of the cheeks due to the excessive accumulation of fat in them, allowing the patient to achieve greater projection at the level of the cheekbones, to look a fresh face, with features much more fine and very natural.
It is important to know that although all people possess them, in some cases these fat bags develop in an exaggerated way, and it is not necessarily related to being overweight, so some thin people may have a large, thick face that does not correspond to your body weight.

Are You a Good Candidate?

The said procedure is indicated in all the people where the bag of bichat develop in an exaggerated way, which results in a face too round with prominent cheeks, always adjusting to the own requirements of any surgery where the patient is in good general condition of health, psychologically stable, and being realistic in its expectations of the results with this procedure.

Anesthesia and Surgical Times

For greater peace of mind and patient safety, the procedure is usually performed under local anesthesia plus sedation, with an average duration of approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour.

Incisions and Scars

It does not present any visible scars since it is carried out intra- orally through a very small incision made in the inner part of each cheek, by means of which the bichat bag that is located between the masseter muscles and buccinator.

Hospitalization Time

This procedure is managed as an outpatient surgery, leaving the center 3 to 6 hours later, once the residual effects of the anesthesia have passed.

Postoperative Care

The patient should rest relative, eat according to the tolerance of the same with a preferably soft diet and ingest abundant liquids, take the prescribed drugs as directed, mouthwashes several times a day with brushing teeth every after eating any food. And protect from the sun for at least the first fifteen days.

Recovery and Time

The recovery process can be taken on average 2 to 5 days, where normally the day after surgery may show some edema which will decrease as the weeks go by, allowing the patient to notice day to day important changes that will fill them with satisfaction, appreciating the final result two to three months after the intervention.

Risks

The risks and complications of resection of bichat fat bags, although very rare, may occur and may be: hematoma, infection and even injury of the stent salivary duct, however the key to try to avoid them is in the preparation since before the surgery, instructions on proper management of the postoperative care are given.

Botox injections are performed in a medical office or a cosmetic clinic. The skin is cleansed, and a local anesthetic or ice may be applied to minimize any discomfort. Using a very fine needle, Botox is injected into specific muscles in precise locations. The procedure typically takes only a few minutes, and there is minimal downtime or recovery involved.

The effects of Botox injections are not immediate but gradually appear over a few days to a week. The muscles become less active, and the wrinkles in the treated areas gradually smooth out. The results typically last around 3 to 4 months, but this can vary depending on individual factors, the dose administered, and the specific treatment area.
